- Light
- Bright indirect light
- Temperament
- Forgiving
Most houseplants are green from every angle. The Red Arrow Syngonium is not: its deep green arrow leaves sit on rich burgundy undersides, so every breeze, every new leaf, and every look from below flashes red. It is the easiest way to add contrast to a shelf of plain green.
Let it trail over the edge of a bookcase, or give it a small pole and it will climb. Either way it grows fast and fills in quickly.
Why You'll Love It
- Deep green arrow leaves with burgundy-red undersides for built-in contrast
- Fast grower that trails or climbs, your choice
- Forgiving care routine, happy in normal room conditions
- Foliage looks different from every angle as leaves catch the light
Plant Care
- Light: Bright, indirect light is best. It tolerates medium light but grows slower and a little leggier.
- Water: Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Keep it lightly moist, never soggy, and always drain the excess.
- Difficulty: Easy. A steady routine and a bright spot are all it asks for.
- Growth: Fast-growing vine. Trail it from a shelf or train it up a moss pole or trellis.
- Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity. A bathroom, a spot near other plants, or the occasional misting keeps it happiest.
- Pet Friendly: No - toxic to pets if chewed. Keep out of reach of cats and dogs.
