The Cebu Blue Pothos is the pothos for people who want something a little different. Its long, narrow leaves shimmer with a silvery-blue sheen you will not find on a standard golden pothos, and they develop dramatic splits as the plant matures and climbs.
Like all pothos, it is nearly indestructible. It trails beautifully from a shelf or hanging basket, climbs a pole if you give it one, and tolerates the low-light corners where fussier plants give up.
Why You'll Love It
- Silvery-blue leaves with a metallic shimmer, unlike any other pothos
- Leaves develop fenestrations (splits) as the plant matures
- Trails or climbs, so it works on shelves, baskets, or a moss pole
- Nearly indestructible and tolerant of low light
- Ships in a nursery pot, ready to display or repot
Plant Care
- Light: Bright, indirect light is best, but it tolerates low light. More light means stronger silver coloring.
- Water: Let the top inch or two of soil dry out between waterings.
- Difficulty: Easy. One of the most forgiving houseplants you can own.
- Growth: Fast-growing trailing vine. Trim to shape or let it run.
- Humidity: Average household humidity is fine.
- Pet safety: Toxic to pets and people if ingested.
Botanical name: Epipremnum pinnatum 'Cebu Blue'
Also known as: Cebu Blue, Blue Pothos, Devil's Ivy
Good for: beginners, low-light rooms, trailing shelves, hanging baskets, gifts
Each plant is naturally unique, so size, shape, and coloring may vary slightly from the photos.
