Hoya Carnosa is the original wax plant, the one in your grandmother's window and in Victorian parlors before that. Glossy, deep green leaves on long vines, and on mature plants, clusters of porcelain-pink flowers that many growers swear smell like chocolate.
It is famous for living for decades and shrugging off neglect. If you want one hoya that will outlast the furniture, this is the species the whole family started from.
Why You'll Love It
- The original wax plant, in cultivation for over 200 years
- Porcelain flower clusters with a chocolate-like scent
- Famously long-lived and hard to kill
- Completely non-toxic to cats and dogs
