Baby's Tears grows as a dense, soft mat of tiny round leaves on thread-thin stems, spilling over the edge of its pot like a green waterfall in miniature. In a terrarium it carpets the ground; in a hanging pot it drapes.
It loves moisture and humidity and will tell you plainly when it is dry. Gardeners have grown it for generations both as a houseplant and as the living mulch tucked around the base of bigger plants.
